A clarification regarding Michael Jackson

With millions of fans and 13 grammy awards, Michael Jackson was perhaps the most notable musician of all time, rightly titled as The King Of Pop. He died on 25th of June , 2009 probably due to a cardiac arrest. With many controversies surrounding the deceased musician,singer and entertainer, one of the most hilarious of all claims regarding him is perhaps that he had converted to islam and had changed his name to Mohammed Jamil ! This may not be famous in the west but in Asian countries this hoax is pretty well aired, In India in particular many still believe that he was a Muslim. Even many of the major Urdu daily newspapers posted about his conversion. However a little googling has revealed that despite he was a guest of Sheikh Abdullah for sometime he never converted to Islam and has denied the hoax. So Michael Jackson was not Mohammed Jamil and all the rumours about his conversion are hoax. I dont know why some people air such news with no solid ground
